Jerusalem Knife Attacker Wounds Israeli Soldier
Israel Radio reported Sunday that Israel ignored warnings of violence and rejected a Palestinian proposal over the summer to meet for secret negotiations which would include the drawing up of proposed borders of a Palestinian state. At that point, one of the officers opened fire and scored a direct hit, killing the motorist.
While the majority of recent attacks have been carried out without the organization of political factions, Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas has not publicly condemned the recent attacks or upsurge in demonstrations.

The military said the pair of attackers stabbed the soldier at a gas station near the Hawara crossing, south of Nablus.
According to the Israel Defense Forces, the two approached a group of Givati Brigade soldiers and began stabbing a soldier in his face.
Mahdia Hammad, a mother of four, was killed by Israeli forces under the pretext that she attempted to run over Israeli soldiers at the entrance of Silwad village northeast of Ramallah.
