Gorilla flipping off camera becomes viral sensation
The photog saw him chewing on some grass and opted to head on over to snap some memories.
Meet Kera, she’s a big gorilla and she’s DONE with smiling for pictures. Then look at the image below. But instead of keeping his cool, this gorilla did what we’ve all wanted to do, he flipped the bird at the annoying intruder.
What do you think about this amusing gorilla shot taken at the Bristol Zoo?
And the 67-year-old admitted that he appeared to have captured the beast on a particularly depressing day.
While this photo may have just been very well-timed and nothing more, it’s hard to deny, as Bob told the paper, that the animal is a “bit cheesed off”.
Upon hearing the clicking of the camera, the gorilla clearly became rather incensed. “He just turned around and it looked like he was flipping me the middle finger”, said Pitchford.
Pitchford didn’t immediately recognise the gorilla’s anger, though.
Bob stated he did not catch this amusing zoo incident until he was going through his zoo photos at home. Gorilla researchers, from Diane Fossey to Dr. Penny Patterson, have long shared findings that suggest gorillas have their own intrinsic sign language that can be used as a basis for communications with humans.
“As I spotted him he was just playing with some grass”.
