School Chorus Performed A Moving Song For Teacher With Breast Cancer
These passionate young students completely convey the love they have for Mrs. Lopez, and it’s hard to watch her break down as she listens to their angelic voices without getting emotional.
The group got together to perform Martina McBride’s ‘I’m Gonna Love You Through It, ‘ after being inspired by her “fighting spririt”.
Every year the school choir at PS22 in Staten Island, New York sings a special song with their director on the last practice of the year.
Understandably, Lopez was moved to tears.
At one point, the kids hold up pink carnations and lilies for Lopez, as they sing “When you’re weak, I’ll be strong / When you let go, I’ll hold on …”
The performance seems to have lived up to its lyrics and given the teacher some comfort.
The teacher can be seen at the end of the video, still in tears and thanking her “wonderful friends” at the school for their compassion.
