Recent Star Wars games generate over $1 billion in sales
Adding up the numbers and dividing by the number of Ewoks who can defeat the Empire with stone age weapons, Video game industry analyst Michael Pachter (via Forbes) has calculated that the game has generated approximately $660 million in revenue.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens may be breaking box office records, but it’s not the only Star Wars property that’s been successful in the past few months. However, here’s why those concerns seem overblown and why EA is likely to report great Battlefront sales in its next earnings release. It was also one of Amazon’s best-selling games during the holiday season.

Although Star Wars Battlefront features the Battle for Jakku DLC based on the movie, EA has already announced that it has no plans to continue releasing content related to The Force Awakens, instead voicing a preference for DLC that will honor the original trilogy instead.
The senior research analyst at Pacific Crest Securities, Evan Wilson, estimated that the total number of sales is probably closer to 13 million, but a lot of these sales were made at a discounted price.
