Broncos beat Chargers; Bengals to play Steelers in Wild Card Round
With a win against Baltimore, the Bengals will earn a 12-4 record for only the third time in franchise history.
In the NFC playoff picture, there isn’t a clear cut favorite in the Wild Card weekend as anyone outside of Washington seems to have a shot to make a deep playoff run if they get hot.
This is my AFC Playoffs preview of the Pittsburgh Steelers at the Cincinnati Bengals.
Their first matchup is going to be against their divisional rival the Cincinnati Bengals, but it remains to be seen whether or not Andy Dalton will play. They needed to beat the Cleveland Browns and needed the New York Jets to lose at Buffalo.
Given that injury, Williams can be expected to have an MRI soon, which should clarify his availability ahead of Saturday’s playoff game against the Bengals.
While Bill O’Brien would surely object to anyone employed by the Houston Texans looking past the Kansas City Chiefs, I imagine a sizable segment of the fan base is curious as to who the Texans would play and when that game would be in the event the Texans emerge victorious at NRG Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Bengals, meanwhile, are 1-2 under A.J. That means New England can’t face Pittsburgh and Denver can’t face Cincinnati before the AFC Championship Game. The first quarter and the last half of the fourth quarter were a tighter than expected face-off between a division leader and a struggling team which is minus it’s starting QB, Joe Flacco.
In the postseason, the Steelers are 1-0 against the Bengals, winning 31-17 in a Wild Card game on January 8, 2006, en route to winning a Super Bowl.
Odds Shark lists this game at FedEx Field as even.
