Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite release set for early 2016
Five months after launching the selfie camera-centric Vibe S1, Lenovo on Monday launched a Lite variant of the phone.
The Chinese company has yet to disclose which country will get the Vibe S1 Lite first, but the smartphone should be available in most countries where Lenovo sells its products.
The Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite is dual-SIM smartphone and comes with 16GB of in-built storage which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
Lenovo wastes no time throwing itself in the 2016 smartphone races, for it just announced the new VIBE S1 Lite, which is supposed to put together affordability, performance, and entertainment.
The Lenovo Vibe S1 lite smartphone comes with additional basic viscera in comparison to the Lenovo Vibe S1, launched a year ago. Under the hood is the MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz along with 2GB of RAM while the Vibe S1 came with slightly powerful 1.7GHz MT6752 processor and 3GB of RAM. With the Vibe S1 Lite the major part that has changed is the camera. We can expect to hear more from the company at the CES trade show.
The Vibe S1 Lite features a 5-inch 1080 x 1920 Full HD display with a pixel density of 441 pixels per inch. Around back, meanwhile, is a 13MP PDAF camera with a dual-LED flash. However, on the S1 Lite, there’s an 8MP front camera equipped with a Sony image sensor, a 5-piece lens for zero-distortion and a built-in flash that increases to the amount of light captured while taking a selfie.
The device packs in the usual connectivity options including 4G bands, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and a micro USB connector for charging and data transfers.
The handset has a metallic frame, measures 145mm x 71mm x 8.5mm, and weighs in at 129g. The handset is backed by a 2700mAh battery. Lenovo has officially launched the Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite with a glossy body but with a single Selfie camera.
