Huawei P9 might have a massive 6GB of RAM
If true, the smartphone would be the largest capacity of RAM on a smartphone.
Mate 8 is one powerful phablet, but Huawei is not yet finished with releasing another slew of devices and with 2016 kicking off, what better way to start off the year than with the announcement of its P9. A dual camera setup on the back and a fingerprint scanner are also reportedly going to be part of the package.
Gone are the days when people used to get awed by devices with 4GB of RAM as Huawei is set to unveil the P9 at CES 2016, which could boast of a massive 6GB of RAM. Well, that still sounds kind of improbable considering the phone is expected to launch in March or April, but we’ll see. The provided teaser image shows off a device made out of metal, and it contains the ‘ Rhythm x Entertainment’ caption. The Huawei Honor X3 is rumored to be a 6.2-inch tablet that will be Huawei’s fist device with a 2K display. Now, if we put these two pieces of the puzzle together, it becomes kind of obvious that the Honor X3 tablet is on the way. Differing from each other by size and certain specs (most likely RAM).
From what we have heard about the Android 6.0 slate already, we can expect a compact 6.2-inch design housing a Kirin 950 processing suite. It will be powered by Huawei’s homebrew Kirin 950 octa-core SoC based on the ARM Cortex-A72 architecture.
