First Rainbow Six Siege DLC Expansion Delayed into February
What we do see from the map though is that there are 4 new maps to come, 8 new operations, new cosmetic items and new game modes.
Everyone else will be able to unlock or purchase the two new operators seven days later. With a robust downloadable content plan in place with the goal of continuing to support and grow the online community, the first DLC expansion known as Operation Black Ice has suffered a slight delay and is going to miss its January 2016 release window and arrive on February 2, 2016.
Ubisoft is also set to release a range of new maps.
The first content pack will include two new operators from the Canadian Joint Task Force 2 counter-terrorism unit and a new map, along with some new weapon skins and gameplay tweaks.
Initially scheduled for January, the Siege DLC change-of-date announcement was made today on Twitter after a fan spotted conflicting information on the game’s official website and Ubisoft‘s online support pages. Season pass ($30) owners can immediately gain access to its two DLC characters when they are released without having to spend currency-be it real-world money or in-game cash-to unlock them.
The development team has also suggested that during the year gamers might get more details about a potential future installment in the franchise that will focus more on a single player story. Have any of you played Rainbow Six: Siege yet?
