Lane Johnson calls Chip Kelly a dictator, among other things
Three years ago, things ended quite well for Chip Kelly at Oregon.
“But it is disappointing to look at coaches like Coach [Greg] Schiano, or Coach [Mike] Shanahan, or Coach Kelly, or guys like that”, Belichick added. “He does a great job and he’s done a great job with that team”, Belichick said, according to ESPN.com. Lurie held a team meeting before the practice to talk to them about the situation. “Josh [McDaniels] in Denver, I mean there’s a lot of examples”.
“Howie will be responsible for making sure our player personnel department is as good as it gets in the National Football League and be accountable for that, and that’s pretty much the way it would go”, Lurie said.
“I don’t know what his relationship was with other people, but I had a great relationship with Chip”, Bradford said. “I think Chip really did care about this team”.
“Chip was great to me, so it’s tough to lose him”, Bradford said. Kelly had led the Eagles to consecutive 10-6 seasons since his hiring in 2013 and were predicted by many to play in Super Bowl 50.
Mike Pettine’s head coaching record in Cleveland? Not many coaches who take over a new program do that. Belichick clearly respects Kelly’s football acumen. But, look, I’m not there.
“How would you give up control of all the things that you have at Notre Dame to do that unless they gave you full autonomy and control of an organization, and I don’t think that’s happening anytime soon for Brian Kelly”, the Notre Dame coach explained. They do a good job. Belichick took a shot at those former Eagles, without naming any names.
“Because of everything – you have to change the culture”.
“Obviously you want someone who has a strong work ethic and definitely someone who works extremely hard and has a connection with the players, mentally and emotionally as well”, Murray said. “You rarely see that”, he said. And often with a new philosophy, a new scheme isn’t far behind. “It’s different. If you’re set in your ways, maybe close-minded, not willing to change, it’s going to rub people the wrong way”.
With only one game left in the regular season, the decision to fire Chip Kelly came at a surprising time to some fans. To build that up over time, it doesn’t happen in training camp…. Murray is averaging just 3.5 yards per carry and has been relegated to a shared backfield role with Ryan Mathews, who has proven a better fit while averaging 5.2 yards per carry with a team-high six rushing touchdowns. It feels good to have the Eagles back it felt like they were not the Eagles team I grew up loving! “I know there’s some coming out in the draft”. I’m not really a part of that.
