Idaho man turns back hair into art
NAMPA, Idaho – One man’s back hair is another man’s canvas.
Exhausted of being ashamed of his back hair, Mike Wolfe, 35, chose to team up with his friend and former graphic designer Tyler Harding to turn his body hair into art by creating a “Calendhair”.
It takes Wolfe four whole months to grow a complete canvas of back hair, and Harding around an hour to trim the designs.
I mean I don’t mind back hair on guys at all to be honest, but I don’t need it to be shaved into shapes. “Well now it’s my turn to shine, right?” he said.
All designs can be viewed here.
‘I said, ‘Hey, Tyler.
Wolfe calls the process “disgusting but amusing”, the HuffPo story said.
The latest design is the silhouette from the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon- Wolfe hopes it will get him a spot on the show. You can’t deny it’s amusing’.
Each month is uniquely named, like The Grim Reap-hair for October, the M-hairy-achi Band for May for Cinco de Mayo.
Wolfe’s wife takes some credit for him flaunting his fur.
Wolfe’s wife thinks she’s the reason he’s so proud of his furry back, after openly accepting his hairy situation on their first date. He felt nervous at the time, but she took it in stride.
“Looking back now this might be because of me”, said Jamie.
See all 12 photos below, and if you’re interested in purchasing the Calendhair, just know that some of the proceeds will go to a charity via Wolfe’s church. “Maybe I shouldn’t have given him so much confidence in his back hair”.
