Jet Li and Tony Jaa for xXx 3?

With the cast and crew being rounded up this quickly, you can expect xXx to go into production fairly soon.

Vin Diesel has been trying to get a second sequel off the ground for xXx for a little while now, and towards the tail-end of a year ago that started gaining traction as both he and Samuel L. Jackson were officially lined up to return.

While we await official confirmation from either Colombia Pictures directly of Vin Diesel‘s lively Facebook page, today’s unconfirmed tidbit suggests that Padukone would side with Diesel and the remaining good guys, though there’s nothing to suggest which side of the fence Li and Jaa will find themselves.

Twitch Film is reporting that new cast members have been announced for the secret agent/extreme sports movie, including famed Thai martial artist Tony Jaa, Jet Li, and Indian actress Deepika Padukone.

Vin Diesel confirmed recently that UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor would play a role in the upcoming release xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, the sequel to the 2002 film xXx.
