Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns
CLEVELAND – The Pittsburgh Steelers needed just one play to turn a mistake into a touchdown and 25-12 lead over the Cleveland Browns with 10:45 to play in regulation. Even if the Steelers manage to sneak into the playoffs, Williams season could be done.
The Steelers need a victory over the Browns and a win by the Bills over the Jets in Buffalo to qualify for the playoffs.
“I would imagine if the Jets are winning the game, it’s going to be up quite a big, because we’ll be in Cleveland’s stadium”.
Before the Pittsburgh defense could stop the Browns, tight end Gary Barnidge hauled in an eight-yard pass from quarterback Austin Davis and surpassed the 1,000 receiving yards mark for the first time in his career. Davis was 25 of 38 passing for 230 yards and a pick in a 37-3 loss to the Bengals a month ago.
Ben Roethlisberger has thrown for 227 yards and touchdowns to Heath Miller and Antonio Brown.
The Browns are hoping for a little revenge and pride as they finish the 2015 season.
He had six carries for 18 yards this season, going into Cleveland. The Browns resorted to Coons’ 39-yard field goal at the end of an 11-play, 31-yard drive, trimming their deficit to 7-6 with 1:56 left in the second quarter.
Chris Ivory tried to give the Jets a spark early in the second quarter by breaking off a 58-yard run, but the Jets couldn’t do much from there, and then kicker Randy Bullock pushed a 40-yard field goal to the right.
