Peake To Carry Out First Spacewalk By Briton

The astronaut personally addressed the monarch in the message live from ISS after receiving well-wishes from the Queen.
Peake has also traded pleasantries with Elton John, and accidently called a random person on Earth.
On hearing the news, Peake tweeted: “I am thrilled to be assigned a spacewalk in 10 days”.
He also tells the Queen how special Britain is to him personally.
In her letter, the had Queen said: “We hope that Major Peake’s work on the Space Station will serve as an inspiration to a new generation of scientists and engineers”.
He continued saying he hoped that the next six months would demonstrate to everyone across the United Kingdom and Europe how worldwide collaboration and fearless endeavour could change the world for the better. “Thank you”, Kelly said.
Major Peake, who is from Chichester, confirmed the announcement via Twitter.
The two astronauts, referred to as the ‘Two Tims’ by the European Space Agency, will carry out the fix on 15th January.
Mr Peake is the first British astronaut to fly into space since Helen Sharman spent a week on the Soviet space station Mir in May 1991.
He said he and his fellow astronauts aboard the ISS would be celebrating the turn of the year at the same time as everyone in the UK.
“I would like to wish everybody on our attractive planet earth a very fun New Year’s Eve and happy, healthy 2016”.
