Season 20, episode one – four Laurens and a ‘chicken enthusiast’

That’s right: Believe it or not, the 20th season of the addictive reality show premiered Monday night with 28 women vying for the heart and screen time with charming Bachelor Ben Higgins. “The reason she wanted to go on the show was she felt a connection with the bachelor, Ben Higgins, and felt like he was a real and genuine person that she could establish a relationship with”, he told the newspaper.

Straight out of the limo, there wasn’t a single live Tweeter who didn’t like deep dimpled Olivia and her trendy lob (long bob).

There are the 22-year-old identical twins from Las Vegas who do everything together. Higgins said that since appearing on ” The Bachelorette” adoring fans approach him in restaurants and young women wait outside his house for a chance to meet him.

Former Bachelor, Chris Soules suggests, “kiss them all”.

I was a little scared that if Maegan stuck around she would have found that miniature horse’s head in her bed courtesy of Mandi or Lace…or both.

To me, normal people going on normal dates is not particularly compelling TV.

At the final rose ceremony it seems Ben chooses Lauren and proposes, leaving the two engaged and JoJo completely brokenhearted. She made an impression, I just don’t know if it was the right one. Ben strikes me as inexperienced. No one interrupted their conversation because everyone who got within ten feet of them fell asleep.

First Out Of The Limo: Lauren B. a flight attendant originally from Portland, but too pretty and blonde for the Keep Portland Weird treatment, so she is identified as a Southern California girl.

“I feel like you didn’t even look at me once during the whole thing”, she slurs to Ben at the conclusion of the rose ceremony.

“Yeah, by the way, stay off Snapchat”, she told Ben, 27, while lovingly touching his shoulder. The usual: lots of smooching, lots of tears (Ben’s included), a couple of villains (Lace and Olivia), a black eye for one woman, the old “I’m in love with two women” gambit and very likely a proposal.

Everyone began to show their true colors after a few glasses of wine, and here’s the deal: Jubilee is cool and also said being on The Bachelor is more stressful than serving in a combat zone, Amanda the dentist is intense and her first flirty move was to question Ben about his flossing habits. Ben stares at her in wide-eyed horror, because he knows he’s made a huge mistake, but it’s too late …until next week (or the producers get sick of her). She pushed for another kiss later on, only to be rebuffed. “I seriously can not thank each one of them enough”, Ben wrote in the blog. As everyone knows, first impressions are everything on the Bachelor and Ben’s contestants were no exception.
