Eagles wrap up disappointing season with fun win

The process to make the most important move of the offseason is already underway for the Philadelphia Eagles, who are scheduling and conducting interviews with potential head coaches. Linebacker Mychal Kendricks knocked away a fourth-down pass with 28 seconds left to end the game.

There was only subdued excitement after the victory because they knew that a season that started with such promise ended earlier than any hoped and with more uncertainty than any expected. It would be naive to think that the players and coaches are actually taking that into account when playing the game.

On Murray’s first carry on the Eagles’ opening drive, he lined up 8 yards deep with Bradford under center.

“There really wasn’t much different to our plan than when coach Kelly was here”, Shurmur said. He did a great job. The Giants cut the deficit to one point after a field goal and the first of two touchdown passes by Eli Manning, this one set up by an interception.

Zach Ertz has a monster day in the passing game for the Eagles.

Darren Sproles rushed for a 6-yard score later in the quarter to give the Eagles a 14-3 lead.
