Asus to launch ‘most advanced photography-focused smartphone’ in India soon
“After setting new benchmarks in digital imaging with its feature-laden Zenfone range, Asus is gearing up to reinvent smartphone photography”, the company said in the note. The company has announced in a statement on Tuesday that the new Asus smartphone will have 3X optical zoom with industry-leading camera features.
Created to be a photographer’s delight, the new device will be equipped with an unprecedented hardware technology for the clearest and sharpest images ever captured through a smartphone. But with Asus launching the smartphone this year, the company may be pushing over-the-air updates to keep it up to speed with other smartphones launching within the same time frame.
Stay tuned for more. The rear camera features OIS (optical image stabilisation), laser auto-focus, 10-element lenses with 3X optical zoom and a dual-color Real Tone flash. The device runs the Asus ZenUI based on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.
There are two variants of the device – one with an Intel Atom Quad Core Z3580 processor clocked at 2.3GHz and another with an Intel Atom Quad Core Z3590 (up to 2 cores running at 2.5GHz). The devices comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD slot and has a fixed 3,000 mAh fixed battery.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, 4G LTE (Cat 4) and microUSB 2.0.
Asus has not yet revealed any details about the price and availability of the Zenfone Zoom in India.
