Ted Cruz Says Marriage Equality Ruling ‘Will Not Stand’

But despite his outward displays of his belief, Cruz, the favorite in Iowa, is facing a whisper campaign of sorts from his Republican opponents: He’s Christian, but not Christian enough. In addition to the endorsement from Vander Plaats, the president of socially conservative group The Family Leader, Cruz has the backing of national Christian leader James Dobson and is believed to be close to winning the backing of Family Research Council President Tony Perkins.

On the issues, Cruz called for the implementation of a flat tax, a system he said would allow Americans to do their taxes on a postcard and eliminate the need for the Internal Revenue Service. He shrugged off complaints that Cruz, like Obama, would enter the Oval Office without executive experience or even much to show for a brief Senate career.
