Britain’s Prince George starts nursery school in Norfolk
See the two new photos below…
George, who’s third in line to the British throne, is expected to attend the school a few days a week.
William and Kate took their son to the Westacre Montessori School nursery on Wednesday as his education formally began.
In a message on their Instagram account this afternoon, Kensington Palace said: “Prince George arrives for his first day at Westacre Montessori School nursery in Norfolk today”.
The nursery is close to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s home at Anmer Hall on the Queen’s Sandringham Estate.
George’s father, Prince William, attended the Jane Mynors nursery school in London when he was a toddler. It also has some children with special needs.
Both pictures show the 2-year-old prince standing in front of a mural painted outside the nursery building. Princess Diana worked as an assistant at a Montessori nursery before marrying the Prince of Wales.
Montessori is an approach to educating children developed by the Italian educator Maria Montessori.
Children are taught in mixed age groups, given choices of activities, and freedom of movement within the classroom.
