Another Case File For WADA Investigators: Al-Jazeera’s The Dark Side Documentary
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said Peyton Manning has his “full support” amid allegations the Denver Broncos signal-caller received shipments of performance-enhancing drugs.
Manning is listed in an Al Jazeera documentary as having been given a supply of human growth hormone while recovering from surgery in 2011. Manning is alleged to have taken HGH shipped to his wife in 2011, although the quarterback has denied Al Jazeera’s report. “The start date we have, where we signed for him, was 10/17/11”, says one “Heather” from the Guyer Institute after Al Jazeera reporter Deborah Davies asks for the timeline.
Sly, was secretly videotaped in the undercover investigation alleging the drugs were sent to Peyton’s wife, Ashley.
“The allegation that I would do something like that is complete garbage and totally made up”, Manning said in a statement issued through the Denver Broncos to U.S. media. Following publication of the Al Jazeera documentary, he recorded a video recanting his statements to Collins.
The source of the allegation that Manning used human growth hormone backed off the report even before “The Dark Side: Secrets of the Sports Dopers” was broadcast Sunday night, according to Business Insider. “Davies said.” If you look at the status of growth hormone, it’s an incredibly banned substance [for the] NFL.
“I think I rotated between being angry, furious”, Manning told ESPN today. This wouldn’t be a story if Manning’s wife was receiving HGH shipments for herself.
Peyton Manning may take legal action against Al Jazeera because of HGH allegations. I would emphasize that Mr. Sly was never an employee of the Guyer Institute and his brief, three-month internship occurred in 2013 during which time Peyton was not even being treated or present in the office. He added: “It never happened”.
“Absolutely not. And what hurts me the most about this is whoever this guy is, this slapstick trying to insinuate that in 2011, when I more or less had a broken neck”, he said.
HGH in itself is not illegal, but it is banned in many professional sports, including the National Football League since 2011. “It would always be under her name”, said Sly.
“They want to make sure that people are allowed to express their thoughts on those types of public figures, and Peyton Manning will surely qualify”, said Catlin.
“Peyton, I would consider him a good friend”, Brady told WEEI.
