As the Johnny Manziel saga continues to unfold in Cleveland, the city’s most prominent athlete, LeBron James, has become the latest professional to voice his concern over the embattled quarterback’s antics.
Johnny Manziel is a client of LeBron James’ marketing firm, but the National Basketball Association star is more concerned about the quarterback as a person.
Not a great day for Manziel.
Manziel has been photographed riding an inflatable swan while drinking and later, spraying a bottle of champagne onto a crowd at a concert during weekends in Las Vegas.
ESPN Las Vegas radio reported on its Facebook page, citing sources, that Manziel was at a night club on the Las Vegas Strip on Saturday night and entered the establishment “wearing a blonde wig, a fake mustache, glasses, and a hoodie” – and that he introduced himself as “Billy”.
“We’ve made a decision to end our formal business relationship with Johnny”, LRMR CEO and co-founder Maverick Carter said, per Vardon.
“I don’t go to Vegas much, but when I do, I’m myself”, he said.
“I’ve heard a little bit of it and it’s just a distraction for not only himself but for everyone that’s around him, including family, people that represent him, the people around him”, James said. And he’ll figure it out at some point.
Dani Carlson from WOIO Channel 19 and Kristin Volk from WEWS NewsChannel 5 staked out Manziel’s house on Tuesday and Wednesday.
In 2014, Manziel started two games for the Browns and played in three total before the hamstring injury in the second quarter of a loss at Carolina ended his season prematurely.
