More flights from Orlando to London
Officials with Orlando worldwide Airport said Monday that WestJet flights between the two cities start in 2016 once a week.
Andrew Harrison, the airport’s managing director, said: “We are delighted to welcome the return of long-haul services to Stansted”. “So this announcement by WestJet is indeed welcomed news”.
Balloons, a cake and Disney singers plus children’s gift bags turned Stansted Airport’s terminal into a party as an inaugural flight to America took off last week.
Approximately 1.2 million travelers annually fly from the United Kingdom to Orlando.
The weekly service starts January 1. This could be one of many reasons that Orlando has continued to expand its European travel options. “Our upcoming winter schedule also adds many new routes, extends routes from seasonal to year-round and increases frequencies within Canada to improve our business and leisure products”.
Earlier this year, Sunwing Vacations announced new seasonal flights between Waterloo Region and Cayo Santa Maria, Cuba. This marks the first time ever for nonstop service to MCO from these Canadian cities.
