Transfer: Real Madrid to pay £100m for Eden Hazard
Real Madrid loom large as ever in the marketplace, with reports that Gareth Bale is the primary object of affection for numerous Premier League’s biggest sides.
He continued: “We haven’t heard anything about Hazard leaving so we will have to see at the end of the year what is happening with the players now at Real Madrid to decide what is to be done in the next transfer window”.
But Real are prepared to let Cristiano Ronaldo leave the Bernabeu in the summer, which would make space in Zidane’s team for Hazard.
However, the Mirror is now reporting today that Chelsea have joined the race for Bale and could have an ace up their sleeve which could see them trump United to his signature this summer.
Zizou trying to replace Bale; Hazard unhappy?
Bale has racked up an astounding nine goals and 10 assists in just 15 appearances in all competitions, whereas Hazard has failed to find the net completely and set up just four goals in 27 appearances.
Putting him on the market is the logical next step if you’re the representative of Gareth Bale.
“I understand that he [Bale] was annoyed with the departure of Benitez because he was an important coach for him”.
It is a message that has become a Real Madrid trademark.
Manchester United’s interest in Bale is no secret as they have been long term admirers of the Welshman even before he moved to Madrid, and Madrid’s interest in David De Gea presents a Unique opportunity as United too like Chelsea might be tempted to swap De Gea for Bale.
Unless Bale himself pushes for a move away-which seems unlikely-offering a player in exchange is possibly the only way to prise him away from Madrid, and it would take someone of Hazard’s quality to do it.
But as many fans will also know, no one is guaranteed a place on a team if they don’t fit the style of play a new manager wants to implement.
