Samsung Electronics today unveiled a new Samsung Smart TV user experience with the refreshed “Smart Hub” user interface and new Samsung Smart Control remote.
Samsung’s made good on the “connected fridge” idea at CES 2016 with the launch of its Family Hub refrigerator, due for release later this year.

Cameras located inside will also let users see contents on the display without opening the door and have access to a remote video feed on their smartphone to check what food they have in stock when they are not home. These two new enhancements showcase Samsung’s dedication in providing its Smart TV customers with an all-round entertainment experience. It’s a smart remote capable of controlling your television, cable set-top boxes, gaming consoles, Blu-ray players and other media players. It’s easy to mock Tizen for being secondary to Android, but Samsung has been finding ways to make it much better than you’d expect on its Gear S2 smartwatch and Smart TVs. Instead of needing to switch inputs, the content you’re getting from those other sources will now be accessible from the remote and the new interface that Samsung has built around it. The TVs’ major feature is their 10-bit Quantum dot displays that Samsung says deliver “the most true-to-life picture quality, with stunning brightness, exceptional contrast and the most lifelike colors ever offered”.
“How many times have you gone to the grocery store and forgot to buy an important item, or bought something you already have?” asked John Herrington, a senior vice president at Samsung America, as he pitched the high-tech fridge.
