CES 2016 – Samsung Reveals Windows 10-Powered Galaxy Tablet

In the end of 2015, we came to know about a new Samsung tablet powered by Windows 10 OS, all thanks to the Wi-Fi certification.

The Galaxy Tab Pro S is a Surface Pro clone in that it’s a Windows 10 tablet that sorta, kinda “converts” into a laptop when it’s attached to a keyboard case.

Since it supports both Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro, the device is compatible with existing IT infrastructure that uses Microsoft’s technology stack.

The new 2-in-1 Galaxy TabPro S mimics the Surface Pro 3 from Microsoft in many ways, including a foldable cover/keyboard. The tablet has a 2MP camera on rear and front with no LED flash. One of the best features about it is a strong battery life, as the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S comes in with 5,200mAh of battery. Overall, the tablet and keyboard combination is extremely thin and light, making it a decent option for taking with you on the go.

The Galaxy TabProS will be available later in 2016, but Samsung hasn’t confirmed how much it’ll cost. Instead of incorporating its own hardware, with the latest SoC being Exynos 8890, Samsung teamed up with Intel and incorporated a Skylake Core M processor with a clock speed of 2.2GHz. What kind of Samsung Galaxy TabPro S price are you willing to pay? The device weighs just 2.53 pounds (1.15kg), and it measures 11.36 x 8.04 x 0.70 inches (28.85 x 20.42 x 1.78cm). Buyers can choose between Intel Core i5, i7, or M3 to power the Surface Pro 4 with six different configurations featuring 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB internal storage with a choice of 4GB, 8GB, or 16GB RAM.

Samsung says you should be able to fully charge the tablet’s 5,200 mAh battery in about 2.5 hours. The keyboard’s flexible hinge enables optimal, dual-angle viewing for the clearest display in any circumstance. Both Samsung Notebook 9 series models will be available in two colors, Iron Silver or Modern Pink, and will be available in select markets in early 2016.

To further enhance the tablet’s functionality, a multi-port adapter and a Bluetooth pen can be purchased separately.
