Obama tears on gun control were real: Doanld Trump
“Zero tolerance for criminals and people with mental disabilities attempting to buy weapons and it would have gone a long way toward reducing gun violence”.
These will include new and more vigorous background checks and restrictions on unlicensed dealers, including closing loopholes surrounding gun sales online and at specialist shows.
In his concluding speech, the US President spoke about the lives lost due to gun violence and said that it makes him mad thinking about them.
“Ever since the American people voted to place a check on President Obama’s agenda, he has routinely overstepped his constitutional authority to force his policies on the American people and this gun control push is no different”, RNC chairman Reince Priebus said in a statement.
Basically, background checks and other symbolic gestures do little to persuade mass murderers and street predators to change their behavior, because nothing prevents them from getting firearms illegally. I especially would like to see harsher penalties for felons illegally in possession of firearms, which is probably still the most effective gun control law already in existence.
Gun violence is a public health epidemic in America – and the African-American community is Ground Zero. San Bernardino was only the latest in a tragic string of mass shootings that has left our nation in mourning.
Obama insisted he is not trying to “take away everybody’s guns”.

Did President Obama propose increasing the punishments for criminal usage of guns, stricter law enforcement to keep violent gang members and criminals locked up, or more effective anti-drug efforts since a large percent of gun violence is drug related? No. He said the right things, sounded honest and caring, and teared up appropriately.
What is even more distressing is that while Obama blames law-abiding gun owners for violence, he hypocritically is releasing tens of thousands of felons from federal prisons, increasing the risk of repeated crimes.
