New phone app for pregnancy test unveiled
Pregnancy tests have now been available for the longest time and how they work has been left massively unchanged over that time period.
Just like ordinary tests, the Pregnancy Pro digital stick will detect if you’re pregnant as early as six days before your missed period and delivers accurate results 99 percent of the time.
Just click on “Calm Me”, “Educate Me”, or “Entertain Me” to either listen to soothing music, learn about fertility, or just watch puppy videos.
First Response, one of the main producers of pregnancy tests, has unveiled an app that will tell you whether or not you’re pregnant.
“My pregnancy test keeps crashing” is not a sentence most of us would ever imagine saying.
First Response understands the frustration.
The user enters profile information into the app to access customised content for “the Pregnancy PRO experience”.
While they haven’t found a solution to the three minutes it takes to analyze the results, the app provides you with videos and helpful information while you wait. If the test was positive, the app will calculate the baby’s expected due date, but also provide details on important follow-up steps like confirming the results with a doctor’s visit, and what diet or lifestyle changes should be made to help ensure a safe pregnancy. With half (50%) of all smart phone users predicted to download mobile health apps by 2017, and two-thirds (64%) of pregnant women using their smart phones to access health information, the makers of First Response seek to meet this growing need with the innovative technology that Pregnancy PRO provides.
For example, it has some procrastination elements to help you while away those three minutes. If you answer that you are trying to get pregnant but unfortunately, are not, the app will guide you to resources to improve your chances on your next try.
The test results are revealed on the phone, which will say congratulations if the user has a positive result and has indicated a desire to be pregnant – or a less cheery response if required. “It offers menstrual cycle and pregnancy tracking features at no cost, even if you don’t buy the test”. From there, if you’re pregnant, the app will give you estimated delivery dates and then will provide you with useful info throughout the pregnancy term. The First Response Pregnancy Tool offers tracking tools and suggestions.
