PM Modi’s Start Up India Programme to Kick Off from January 16

Premiers Nawaz and Modi asked their respective foreign secretaries to design a plan for about three to six months with “actionable areas” where both sides can cooperate during the upcoming meeting. Modi was quoted as saying to PM Nawaz.
India’s External Affairs Ministry Spokesman stated the go to and the talks have been aimed toward infusing a “constructive spirit” within the neighborhood.
India and Pakistan relations have been tense since 2008 after Pakistani terrorists attacked Mumbai on November 26, and led to death of hundereds of civilians.
He said as per decision of two prime ministers, the foreign secretaries of Pakistan and India will meet in middle of January 2016 to prepare schedule for the “comprehensive dialogue”.
Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar and other Indian officials also accompanied PM Modi on his surprise visit to Lahore. Therefore, he is investing a lot of personal capital into this and taking a risk.

He said China would support efforts of both countries “to achieve common development through continuous dialogue”, in a reference to the recent interruptions in the dialogue process. Also stating that the program will help innovators come up in the country. These included Pakistan’s reach-out to Kashmiri separatists that derailed talks past year and the issue of terrorism. “As we have long said, improved relations among neighbours will benefit the entire region”, spokesperson John Kirby said in a statement.
