Baffled George Akary filmed what he believes is a “miracle” in St Charbel’s church, Sydney, before posting it on Facebook.

Two young Catholics, who regularly attend mass at the church in Punchbowl, in Sydney’s south-west, have filmed a painting of the Virgin Mary carrying Jesus where it appears Mary is praying with them.

If the pastor of this church possessed any spiritual integrity he would chastise his captive audience for being deceived by cheap parlor tricks.

The movements of the lips appeared to match the prayer being said.

Kirsten Keirouz, a parishioner who recorded footage of the lips moving, uploaded it to her Facebook page on July 5.

“People can be led to see different images-such as faces or words or letters-depending on what they expect to see, which in turn activates specific parts of the brain that process such images”. ‘This time I recorded it.’.

After watching Kristen’s recording, fellow parishioner George Akray decided he would make a recording on Sunday July 19 that he later uploaded to Facebook.

He said: “To clarify for the viewers I saw this during mass and at the end of mass the rosary is prayed. These signs are to bring people to know God is really with us”. “This time I recorded it”.
