Russell Brand apologises for ‘insensitive and anti-Semitic’ Nazi remark
Known anti-Israel activist, actor Russell Brand, has apologized to a fan who he referred to as a “Nazi” during one of his stand-up shows in England.
The flub occurred when Russell, 40, teased a young man during a performance at the Proud Archivist venue in East London.
But the man responded “I’m Jewish” to a shocking Brand, who immediately apologized admitting that “it was insensitive and anti-Semitic”, Daily Star reported.
Brand was playing a show as part of the Trew World Order Tour, which is off next to Australia and South Africa in September and October.
Russell Brand confronted by friend of Tunisia terror attack victim after he said the minute of silence was “bullsh*t”.
“There is no point in having a minute’s silence on Friday”, Brand was quoted as saying.
“It will have a lot more impact than a minute’s silence”, he added.
Brand said he would go to Syria if someone gave him a first class ticket.
‘Meaning that GQ can now stand for genocide quips.
“If any of you know a little bit about history and fashion, you’ll know Hugo Boss made the uniforms for the Nazis”, he said after receiving his award.
‘But they did look f****** fantastic, let’s face it, while they were killing people on the basis of their religion and sexuality.’.
We have approached Brand for comment.
