Eagles interviewing offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur
Other candidates will certainly emerge over the coming days and weeks as well. So, who exactly is patrolling the Eagles sideline this Sunday?
While Chip Kelly is universally regarded as having a brilliant football mind, his tenure with the Philadelphia Eagles was marred by significant struggles relating to players and cooperating with others in the organization.
“I mean, I love Lane Johnson to death”, Kelce continued, “But he’s only played for one head coach”. So from that perspective, there is going to be huge turnover. The Niners have had three coaches in three seasons, and Tomsula had never been more than a position coach in the league before getting the chance at a head coaching position this year. “Philly roots, he knows the Philly organization and he’s a defensive coordinator, which I think is what the Eagles require right now”, said Tom Collins of Ventnor, New Jersey. “When you get a good relationship with your players then your house is good so therefore your team will want to play for you”. Murray, cornerback Byron Maxwell and linebacker Kiko Alonso need to perform better in their second seasons in Philadelphia. “You add a couple pieces here and there and keep moving. It’s not like one of those teams that don’t have the talent”.
When things went south for Philadelphia, blame was placed on a number of people.
Once again, the Eagles’ outside receivers were invisible on Sunday.

The NFL offseason is already in full swing for the teams that did not qualify for the playoffs. In a report by CBS Sports, Alabama head coach Nick Saban is a leading candidate as well as Patriots’ offensive and quarterback coach Josh McDaniels.
Bradford raved about Shurmur after the Eagles 35-30 win over the Giants, when Bradford had one of his best games of the season. The job opened up after the team fired Chip Kelly earlier this week. He even allowed Bradford to audible, something that rarely happened under Kelly, where speed was the ultimate goal. “I think what you’re seeing from Sam in the last part of this year is more of what he is”. He’s seen Chip’s offense. If I’m being honest, I think that we have massages, we have all these things put in place – we have smoothies. Gase is also set up for interviews with the Browns and Dolphins. Team owner Jeffrey Lurie said after firing Kelly that Shurmur is a candidate for the permanent job. “That’s not saying that’s the only style that works”.
Coughlin, who led the Giants to two Super Bowl titles in his 12 seasons, has a year left on his contract.
