Oregon Robbery Suspect Resembles ‘Dirty Jobs’ Star Mike Rowe
Mike Rowe joking offered an alibi after security camera images released by an OR police department led residents to identify him as a bank robber.
The confusion began after a man walked into a bank in Medford earlier this week, and threatened people with a gun while demanding cash.
Shortly afterward, the real Rowe learned about his OR doppelganger through fans on social media.
Rowe followed by saying he wasn’t anywhere near Medford on Monday. “I’ve also been spotted in Medford on a couple of times occasion, (a lovely town by any standard.)” Rowe posted on Wednesday.
After the Medford Police Department in OR posted surveillance photos of the suspect in a January 4 bank robbery on its Facebook page, a slew of commenters agreed the man looked a lot like Rowe, host of CNN’s “Somebody’s Gotta Do It”. “There’s so many things you could have done instead of this, ‘” Rowe says of the conversation with his mom.
“Described as a white male, 5’6″ to 5’8” tall with a small to medium build, the suspect was wearing a grey hoodie and tan baseball cap.
However, Rowe decided it was a good time to clear his name.

‘Crazy at it sounds, these masks exist, ‘ Rowe wrote. Point is, if this crook was disguised as me, he could still be in Medford, walking among you. “Back to the drawing board, we are now looking for a suspect wearing a Mike Rowe mask, which is brilliant, why didn’t we think of that?”
