LG introduces K series smartphones at CES
The company touts that the latest K-series achieves its L-Series. Targeted towards younger audiences, the K-series smartphones will come with power and volume buttons placed at the back, just below the camera module.
Both the devices are backed by a 2,125mAh battery that can last for a single day of normal usage.
While Boost Mobile has not revealed the LG K7’s price, its specifications indicate that the handset would be rather affordable.
“Customers equate the LG name with great smartphone imaging technology and we are committed to delivering on that flattering expectation”, added Cho.
As for the K10, it is a 5.3-inch HD In-cell Touch, so this would be the “Plus” sized model.
Under the hood, the LTE-compatible LG K10 is powered by either a 1.2 GHz or 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, or a 1.14 GHz octa-core CPU.
The K7 is equipped with an 8 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera. The LTE version of the smartphone is powered by a 1.1GHz processor while the 3G variant features a 1.3GHz quad-core SoC. The primary camera of the smartphone will be either 8.0-megapixel or 5.0-megapixel depending upon the various markets. The LTE-enabled model of the K10 gets a 13MP main camera, while the 3G-only variant gets an 8MP rear camera.
The amount of RAM in the LG K10 can be 1GB/1.5GB/2GB, and the onboard storage can be 8GB/16GB. The LG K10 smartphone measures 146.6 x 74.8 x 8.8mm and will be exclusively available in three colour variants such as White, Indigo, and Gold colour variants. Both smartphones feature LG’s popular Gesture Shot and Gesture Interval Shot and are powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
Additionally it’s worth mentioning that the LG K7 is slightly bulkier as compared to the LG K10, measuring at 143.6×72.5×9.05mm (3G) and 143.6×72.5×8.9mm (4G LTE).
First up is the LG K7 which comes with a 5 inch display that has an FWVGA resolution and there will be 3G and 4G LTE models. The handset is capable of getting LTE, there will also be a 3G version available as well for those that do not have access to LTE networking. With Gesture Shot, users need to raise open hand in front of the camera module and clench into fist to take a selfie. The front-facing camera has also gained a lot of importance as many people tend to take selfies with the camera and share with friends and family on social media. Storage amount is either 8GB or 16GB.
