It’s On, Now! Patti LaBelle Launches Line Of Cakes At Walmart

Both cakes have been in the works since last March, when LaBelle and Walmart started working together.

The popular pies sold out in November at several Southern California stores after an online review by James Wright Chanel went viral.

While at Wal-Mart, Canady also got one of her sweet potato pies, although he hasn’t dug into that one yet.

Wal-Mart will introduce two new bakery products from Grammy-winner Patti LaBelle following the overwhelming success of her sweet potato pies during the holidays. The vanilla pound cake is dense, buttery, and topped with a generous coat of vanilla icing.

“We needed 50,000 pounds of vanilla icing for our first orders of the vanilla pound cakes and 54,000 pounds of batter for the caramel cakes”, Markley said. The vanilla pound cakes can be bought in stores today, and the caramel cake will be released in stores on January 18. The treat filled with buttercream frosting retails for $13.94.

It’s a new year, and that means new and exciting things for fans of Patti LaBelle’s desserts as she launches two new cakes for her line of deliciousness.

For those who are still interested in trying Patti’s sweet potato pie, Walmart has since restocked their shelves with the dessert after being sold out for a minute.
