Skype 5.6 For Android Released

First of all, Microsoft announced that the update will add a refreshed look, which should bring a more pleasant user experience.
Skype today rolled out a new, visually refreshed version of its Android app. Marked as version 5.6, it’s created to give users a more intuitive user interface.
These are not exactly huge updates, but they will make a difference for frequent Skype users.
In a blog post, Microsoft’s Tom Huang said the Recent tab in Skype 5.6 for Android allows the user to see multiple simultaneous chats.
The updated app provides at-a-glance access to more chats in the Recent tab.
Introduced round avatars with a more “polished and unified appearance” for the avatar pictures that also easily displays your friends’ online status. Lastly, there was an adjustment to the color of the chat bubbles, making it easier to read and distinguish text.
Skype 5.6 for Android also includes “a number of fixes and improvements” that are meant to increase the overall stability of the application.
