Hillary Clinton dismisses Trump’s ‘alternate reality’
Former President Bill Clinton arrives at a campaign rally for his wife, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, in Nashua, New Hampshire, on January 4.
The 42nd president made his first solo campaign appearance for his wife, Hillary Clinton, as he returned to the state he often kindly credits for launching the underdog Arkansas governor to the presidency.
“When we fell in love, I thought she was the most wonderful person because, unlike now, when more than half the law students in America are women, then they were a distinct minority”, he said.
Not many gymnasiums can hang signs that say, “Welcome back President Clinton”. He made no direct reference to Donald Trump, the brash billionaire dominating the Republican race for the White House who recently stepped up personal attacks on both Clintons.
In an interview with CNN on Sunday night, Prudhomme-O’Brien said she herself was a victim of rape and she was asking about Juanita Broaddrick’s allegations of rape against Bill Clinton. I would hope she doesn’t.
“I think that that’s his social life and his work should be separate from that”, she told the Mail.
It may be a new year, but Bill Clinton is bringing with him old controversy as he stumps on the campaign trail.
Trump was accused of hypocrisy for supporting the Clintons at the time – when his main job was as a property mogul looking to inflate his fortune.
Bill Clinton may not have the way with women he once did.
Earlier in Manchester, New Hampshire, Clinton gave a similar reply to questions about Trump’s attacks and the Republican candidates, according to the Associated Press. “But there certainly were a lot of abuse of women, you look at whether it’s Monica Lewinsky or Paula Jones, or any of them, and that certainly will be fair game”, Trump said last week on NBC’s Today show. He spoke calmly and quietly in New Hampshire on Monday, methodically describing the issues he sees as motivating voters in the next election.
“Every presidential election, people run and, believe it or not-this is kind of scary this year-but believe it or not, most everybody actually tries to do what they say they’re going to do when they’re running”.
“I’m going to let him live in his alternate reality”, she said. So when there is discrimination against African- Americans or Hispanics or Muslims just because of who they are, I don’t like that.
