Teaser confirms January 12 launch date for Xiaomi Redmi 3
The 5-inch display of the Xiaomi Redmi 3 is expected to carry support for 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. However, a Xiaomi device alleged to be the Redmi 3 recently passed through TENAA.
The teaser reveals that the Redmi 3 sports a 5-inch display and features an all-metal body.
Today, the Chinese company confirmed on Weibo that Xiaomi Redmi 3 will be launched as early as January 12. It may either feature the MediaTek MT6753 chipsert or a newer MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 chipset.
Xiaomi Redmi 3 will be powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB ROM with microSD card slot. The phone will have a metal body with a textured finish on the back. For selfies, a 5MP camera is positioned on the front. The company has now confirmed that the Redmi 3 will have a massive 4,100mAh battery inside. Xiaomi has managed to cram in a 4000mAh capacity battery inside the handset’s 8.5mm profile. The Redmi 3 has been rumored for quite some time, but little was known about the smartphone’s release.
The listing also revealed 2GB/16GB memory configuration, 13MP/5MP camera combo, and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. We expect Xiaomi to include the latest MIUI 7.1 update out of the box when it goes on sale. He has also said that this device’s price will be higher than expected, which was to be expected considering various rumors said that it will cost around 699 Yuan, which seems kind of unrealistic with these specs.
