Kate Middleton and Prince William to Visit Bhutan Without George and Charlotte
British royal couple Prince William and Kate the Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their third child, according to a report.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, will make their first official visit to Bhutan in the spring.
A statement from Kensington Palace said: ‘The visit is being carried out at the request of Her Majesty’s Government and will be the first time their Royal Highnesses have visited the country’. The photo was taken by Kate, and it showed the two-year-old prince wearing a blue jacket with plaid lining and blue backpack, looking “royally adorable”, according to Yahoo Parenting.
They will leave Prince George and his younger sister Princess Charlotte at home with their nanny and families when they make the trip but are expected to be home in time to celebrate Charlotte’s first birthday on May 2.
King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema have attracted the attention of royal watchers across the globe since their marriage in 2011, and even been compared to William and Kate. The change of leadership was part of a democratising process and two years later the first parliamentary elections were held in the kingdom.
They will follow the Prince of Wales, who visited in 1998, and the Duke of York, who was in Bhutan in 2010. The palace announced that visit just as The Queen welcomed the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Buckingham Palace. While no further details of the visit have been released yet, the Taj Mahal is reportedly a confirmed stop on their itinerary. However, the main highlight of their a year ago was the birth of their second child named Princess Charlotte.
