Arkansas, Planned Parenthood ask abortion order be extended
“Amy and I have a life plan”, Lawrence concluded. When she came over this morning, she was crying.
The judge will hear further arguments, but in her ruling said Planned Parenthood had a substantial chance of prevailing in its contention that the statute is an unconstitutional infringement on a woman’s right to obtain an abortion.
“It isn’t an attack on abortions; it’s an attack on women”, argued Lawrence.
After the pro-life group Center for Medical Progress released a series of undercover videos past year purporting to show high-level Planned Parenthood officials violating a number of ethical and legal codes in negotiating compensation for aborted baby body parts, conservatives renewed a call to strip Planned Parenthood of its federal funding.
“Because Planned Parenthood is so much more”, she continued.
In an interview for the February issue of Glamour, J. Law revealed that she would hide condoms and birth control from her religious mother when she was a teenager and that she relied on her local Planned Parenthood to get the contraception she needed.
Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards skirted over the facts and figures of the organization’s services in a letter addressed to supporters at the introduction of the annual report, instead focusing on broader political areas and lobbying.
JL: Yes, I did.
“I am a successful woman who has not had a pregnancy… [Laughs.] You’d be shocked”.
“What harm comes from supplying people with birth control, condoms, pap smears and cancer screenings?”, Lawrence has been quoted as saying.
“Planned Parenthood, an abortion organization caught harvesting and selling baby body parts, has demonstrated time and again that it does not deserve public money”, said Dr. Grazie Pozo Christie of The Catholic Association. And now I’ve gone from the charming, like, “Oh my God, whoops, I fell”-now it really pisses me off. ‘Cause it’s embarrassing now. All I’m trying to do is act”, she said”. You should see some of the people I find attractive.
“I saw “Trainwreck” in July, and I emailed (Schumer)”.
And to be honest, I think that’s okay with Lawrence.
However, she joked about voicing an opinion as a woman. She has plenty to say that’s well thought out and measured, as well as plenty of things that aren’t so much, which earns her that “no filter” descriptor. I’m not trying to be a GIF …
Attempts to restrict abortion have intensified in recent years in Arkansas as Republicans took control of the state’s legislature and the governor’s office last January.
“We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact”, she said. Sure, it’d be nice to not have to worry about possible problematic implications, but growth has to happen somewhere, doesn’t it?
