Taylor Swift plays acoustic version of ‘Blank Space’ at Grammy Museum
The video of the performance released yesterday (7th January) also includes Taylor explaining in her own words the inspiration for her hit “Blank Space”.
A few days ago we saw a video of Taylor Swift performing Wildest Dreams and now she’s back again with another acoustic version of one of her songs.
While the posted YouTube clip is new, Swift gave the intimate performance last September at the Grammy Museum’s Clive Davis Theater in L.A. In all seriousness, Swift says she wrote “Blank Space” in response to the media painting her as a “psycho, serial-dater girl”, joking about it at first.
“It’s been awesome”, she said.
But Taylor adds that, “every single article had these descriptions of my personality that were very different from the actual personality and my first reaction was like, that’s a bummer, this isn’t fun for me”.
“But my second reaction was like, ‘Hey, that’s actually a really interesting character, ‘” she shared. She jet sets around the world collecting men…then she traps them and locks them in her mansion, and then she’s crying in her marble bathtub surrounded by pearls. “I could use this”.
Now compare it to the over-the-top “Blank Space” video, which has almost 1.4 billion views.
