Tomsula sacked as 49ers coach

“Overall, the year what I’ve had and to be here and part of the team has been incredible and more than what I could have imagined”.

After Tomsula was sacked, Harbaugh posted this on his Twitter account: “Do not be deceived. You reap what you sow”.

“Jimmy has been a valuable member of the 49ers organization for the last nine years”, York said in a news release. So why put faith in Baalke to make a better choice this time?

The feeling was that Jim Tomsula was the one who was loyal and obedient enough to Trent Baalke to coach the San Francisco 49ers the way that he wanted them to be coached.

San Francisco reached three straight NFC championship games in Harbaugh’s initial three years, with a three-point Super Bowl loss to Baltimore after the 2012 season.

“Jim Harbaugh is a good football coach”.

“The past year has been way more than what I expected”, Hayne said, while laughing as his running back teammates Kendall Gaskins and Mike Davis cracked jokes at his expense. “We need to make sure that we look forward to the next head coach”.

York promoted Tomsula from defensive line coach to replace Harbaugh in a surprising move, choosing the former NFL Europe coach over current Bears offensive co-ordinator Adam Gase and former defensive co-ordinator Vic Fangio – also now with Chicago. “This is going to be a very, very competitive offseason, so I hope you understand I’m not going to get into the details of that list”.

“We can get into tweets that I’ve sent, and thank God you can’t see tweets that I didn’t send”, said York, whose mother Marie DeBartolo York and uncle Edward DeBartolo Sr had owned United States sports teams.

So we don’t know too much more Monday than we did Sunday about the direction of the team or whether it will be able to hire a coach of quality given the fact the Baalke is back, the quarterback situation is unsettled, the propensity for leaks and infighting at the facility and the fact that they just canned their coach after one year on the job, painting a picture of instability. “Whether he’s coaching somewhere else or not, we owe him that”. Before this, multiple reports indicated that the Niners are set to sack the coach but plan on retaining general manager Trent Baalke. But today we won a game, and let’s give him some praise for that.

Colin Kaepernick, who led the 49ers to the Super Bowl in his sophomore season in the league, continued regressing this season. But what did anyone expect York to say? On Sunday, the message flying overhead read: “Jed Here’s Our Banner – Where’s Yours?”

Free safety Eric Reid said it was important for the 49ers to end the season with a victory.

Planes towing derogatory messages aimed at him became a regular event at 49ers home games and York said his use of Twitter had not helped the team. “For that, I want to apologize to our fans and everybody that cares deeply about this team the way I do”.
