Beyonce to join Coldplay for Super Bowl halftime
Somebody let The Beygency know, because it’s official: Beyonce will perform at Super Bowl 50 on Sunday, February 7, confirms Us Weekly and the Associated Press.
The singer and the band recently had a collaboration for “A Head Full of Dreams” album and also sang at “Global Citizen Festival” in September in New York City.
The 34 year old pop queen last graced the half time show in 2013 and was joined on stage by her former Destiny’s Child band mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. Mars was the musical act at the Pepsi Super Bowl halftime show in 2014. News. She’s said to be excited about the chance to entertain people, and it would be her third time to be at the Super Bowl, having sang the National Anthem in 2004, and performed at the halftime show in 2013.
The pop superstar has been confirmed to join the line-up for this year’s event and is expected to perform a duet with Coldplay. “We’re going to give it everything we have”, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin told in a video interview while promoting the show.
Looks like the Super Bowl stage just got a little bigger. It will air live on CBS. Other past halftime headliners include Bruno Mars, Prince, Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, U2 and the Rolling Stones.
This star-studded set follows last year’s performance by Katy Perry, who was joined by Missy Elliott and Lenny Kravitz onstage.
