Trump Brings His Ugly Circus to Sanders’ Hometown
Though security attempted to weed Sanders supporters out at the door by allowing only people willing to say they were Trump voters to enter, numerous Vermont senator’s supporters made it inside, heckling Trump in larger numbers than he is used to handling.
While Trump often vows to eliminate gun-free zones if he’s elected, he expanded his pledge Thursday to include schools.
Meanwhile, Trump addressed a crowd at a rally in Vermont, expressing his distaste for gun-free zones. “You know it’s about 10 degrees below zero outside”, roared Trump from the stage. “That’s bait”, he said.
Protesters directed their chants at Trump supporters as they left the theater. They rose to disrupt Trump in regular intervals throughout the event. “There’s a momentum that we have”, he said, just as one protester shouted out a barely heard obscenity at him.

People began lining up at dawn to attend the event and more than 100 people were already in line by midday, with over seven hours to go before the event. Trump then criticized Sanders for a Black Lives Matter protest that took over one of the socialist Democrat’s events over the summer. That would be a sensible position, but I think most people in the audience who applauded Trump thought he could do something about school no-gun zones, too.
“I am a Bernie supporter, but I am here to see the spectacle that surrounds Donald Trump”, Conrad said.
