Ronda Rousey Poses In A Painted-On Swimsuit For “Sports Illustrated”
Last year, the blonde beauty graced the glossy pages of Sports Illustrated’s elite Swimsuit Edition, and it looks like the 28-year-old is back for more!
(Amen, sister.) Of course, Rousey is about as fit and able-bodied as they come, but it’s heartening to hear her platform to encourage body positivity in, of all places, the swimsuit edition of Sports Illustrated.
Whatever the result, the UFC would still have another hugely marketable fight on their hands afterwards, with Tate’s previous two defeats to the former champion creating a genuine rivalry between the pair, while a Holm victory would boost her profile even further.
The recently dethroned Ultimate Fighting Championship bantamweight champion posed in the black-and-white painting of a white tiger for the shoot, which will appear in next month’s swimsuit issue.
This will be Ronda’s second appearance for the magazine.
SI editor MJ Day posted a pic of a woman on the Internet wearing a swimsuit that appears to be made of body paint. The swimsuit in question, however, will consist of only body paint.
The body paint on Rousey’s torso was inspired by a swimsuit designed by Australian label We Are Handsome named “The Fighter”. The actual swimsuit is a one-piece black and white item that retails from more than $250. There has been a lot of talk about an ExpendaBelles movie, so why not get Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano involved?
Holm – who stunned Rousey at UFC 193 in November – will co-headline UFC 197 with Conor McGregor on March 5 in Los Vegas, according to Bleacher Report. She’s scheduled to host Saturday Night Live on January 23; maybe then she’ll talk about her rematch with Holly Holm.
Pitting Holm against Tate is a gamble for the UFC; a loss by Holm would clearly take some of the juice out of a Rousey rematch, whenever it happens.
Ronda, you rebel, you.
