Maruti Vitara Brezza Teased Ahead Of 2016 Auto Expo Debut

India’s largest auto maker Maruti Suzuki India Ltd on Friday said its upcoming compact sports utility vehicle (SUV) would be called the Vitara Brezza. The model has been spied on several occasions being tested on Indian roads.

The compact SUV market in India has been on a surge with younger customers vying for smart and muscular vehicles. Going by the pictures available on web, the Vitara Brezza compact SUV looks like a smaller version of the Vitara SUV.

2015 was a year filled with various launches from Maruti Suzuki and 2016 is only expected to be better. Already the Hyundai Creta compact SUV has created a ripple in the market with its dynamic appeal and distinct styling. Designers are confident that the model will be a head turner no matter where it goes. Some of the design highlights of the Vitara Brezza include square wheel arches, a high ground clearance, short overhangs, an upright hood and a floating roof effect. “The raising belt and rocker lines, and the roo-fline that slopes down gently towards the rear give the vehicle a dyna-mic posture”, it said.

The Vitara Brezza is a five-seater compact SUV and will compete with the Ford EcoSport and the TUV300 and will be positioned below the Maruti S-Cross.

Speaking about safety features, considering the recent updates from Maruti Suzuki, where the company has started offering Airbags and ABS across variants in more products of theirs, Brezza is expected to get dual airbags and ABS as standard across all variants.
