Susan Collins Campaigns for Jeb Bush in New Hampshire

Republican Jeb Bush actually had something nice to say Wednesday about his political nemesis Donald Trump, but he stands by his comment that the billionaire GOP presidential front runner is a “jerk”.

New Hampshire, which holds its presidential primaries early next month, saw 295 opioid-related deaths past year. The Bush campaign promises if he’s elected president, he will enact tougher sentences for drug cartels, but lower the mandatory minimums for non-violent drug offenders; he’ll also expand closely monitored treatment options. I mean, we’re getting down to about 90 percent of all people here. She says what is important to her is Bush’s proven track record on many major issues that other candidates do not have.

Bush said he felt for her. “No parent should have to go through what you went through”, he said, adding that he was also for some form of expanded background checks, like those done in his home state of Florida.

“It makes me sad that NASA is kinda like closed right now”, said Morrow, who’s from Kittery, Maine, just across the border from Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

“If Bush is able to get some momentum and get his act together, he could go long”.

“I know that giving states more flexibility will open the door for transformative ideas to eliminate poverty and increase opportunity”, Bush wrote in his outline, which was obtained by The Washington Post. In a question-and-answer session at the diner, the candidate said he wanted to shift more government decision-making to states, reform federal lobbying, destroy the Islamic State, and adopt a comprehensive approach to helping Americans overcome addiction.

In late November, Trump seemed to mock a New York Times reporter, Serge Kovaleski, who is physically disabled.

When the candidates’ favorability ratings among likely Republican caucus-goers are measured, Trump is a good deal more popular than Bush (whose net favorability is underwater, meaning that more people view him unfavorably than favorably).

“The simple fact is gun violence has declined about 30% when we imposed severe penalties for people committing crimes with guns”, Bush responded, as the woman shook her head.

Mr Bush said a purported North Korean test of a hydrogen nuclear bomb underscored Mr Trump’s challenge, pointing to Mr Trump’s inability at a Dec 14 debate to talk credibly about the three elements of the U.S. nuclear “triad”, the arsenal of missiles based in the air, at sea and on land.

Looking at his watch, Bush drew laughter in the crowd when he replied: “Let me see how much time we have”.

Jeb Bush really doesn’t like Donald Trump and has made it clear on several occasions, the most recent of which was while he did an interview Thursday on the Hugh Hewitt Show.

“Yeah, it is something to consider, because he is very popular”, Bush said, opening the door to the possibility slightly more than he has in the past.

“Don’t ask my mother what she thinks”, Bush said.
