The New Cleansing Diet Based on Tacos
Self-proclaimed “taco scientists” out of Austin, Texas, came up with the plan, CBS San Antonio affiliate KENS reports.
A Taco Cleanse is promising, but here are five facts that you should know before trying this diet per Cosmopolitan. They say, “While the typical cleanse works by depriving you of your favorite foods, the plant-based Taco Cleanse rewards your body with what it naturally craves: tortillas, refried beans, guacamole!”
Aniston’s first response was “WHAT?!” before she immediately started Googling and told her interviewers she was “riveted” by the idea.
According to the book, “The Taco Cleanse: The Tortilla-Based Diet Proven to Change Your Life”, ‘Taco Cleanse’ involves eating tacos for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day for 30 days straight. They offer 75 different recipes for tacos, in order to keep your diet varied.
There are no big promises of dramatic weight loss, because let’s face it, that’s unrealistic and not a healthy goal to achieve in the space of a month. You’re allowed, and encouraged, to drink alcohol, particularly margaritas. Sadly it is, unless you’re a vegan.
BUT all the recipes look genuinely delicious, and there’s instructions for making vegan bacon, vegan nacho cheese, all kinds of goodness.
You can benefit from eating tacos.
Other chapters in the book will instruct you on taco yoga, how to make holiday tacos, and there’s even a certificate of completion you can tear out once you’ve completed your taco quest.
