Arsenal’s Sanchez ruled out of FA Cup tie with Sunderland

Wenger often uses the League Cup to give youngsters a chance and he should take the same approach this weekend, particularly with a huge trip to Liverpool coming up on Wednesday night.
Arsene Wenger has insisted that Arsenal are taking the FA Cup seriously as they prepare to begin their quest to land the trophy for a third successive season at home to Sunderland on Saturday. I think he [Ospina] can be the goalkeeper of the future here as well.
Egypt worldwide Elneny has been linked with a move since before the January transfer window opened but the deal is still yet to be completed, despite Basle confirming the 23-year-old had missed recent training sessions to seal the transfer.
“I believe that Ospina is one who is not treated fairly [by the media]”, Wenger said. I saw Everton against Manchester City and it was a top-class game. Petr Cech was just an exceptional opportunity where it was hard to say no. “I thought we had a very convincing second half after being a bit shocked in the first half and taking time to find our game”. It was just an opportunity to say no would not have been right.
“I only had a short period to bring him back, but he’s had an outstanding run of games at Preston, where he’s been all over the press”, said Allardyce.
“It is a precaution because of his hamstring, and it takes a few more days”.
Arsenal are both the league leaders and the FA Cup holders, this is a team flying high at the moment and Arsene Wenger’s side have been excellent this season.
Teenage defender Thomas Beadling and back-up goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, 21, are expected to be involved for the 1973 FA Cup winners.
One top-flight club pleased to switch their attention to the Cup will be Aston Villa, last season’s FA Cup runners-up, who have not won a league match since the opening day of the season and are bottom of the table.
That blip can be chalked up to the unpredictability of the festive fixtures as otherwise Arsenal have enjoyed impressive wins over Man City and Olympiakos.
