The Man in ISIS Video Is a Hindu
In the video, the militant suspected of being Dhar is featured with an English-speaking child, who says that ISIS will kill “kuffar” – nonbelievers – “over there”, referring to the West. Government spokeswoman Helen Bower said the Prime Minister would not comment on the identities of those involved.
In the latest video released by Islamic State during the weekend, a man wearing combat fatigues and holding a handgun is seen standing in front of five accused “spies”.
“To remember him like that and then see him supposedly in this video, I don’t understand that”, Leech adds.
“We’re Muslim first, Muslim second, Muslim last”, he proclaimed.
Siddhartha Dhar, who once worked as a bouncy castle salesman is believed to be the “new Jihadi John”.
Dhar was born a Hindu and ran a business renting out bouncy castles in northeast London before converting to Islam and becoming radicalised, the broadcaster said.
Following his conversion, he spoke in a TV interview about the United Kingdom being brought under Sharia law by a conquering IS army. He joined the radical group al-Muhajiroun and quickly became a leading member and prominent speaker, attending demonstrations against the U.S., Israel and Arab regimes and posting videos online.
British media have reportedly spoken to family and former neighbors of Dhar, who believe that he is the Daesh spokesperson in question.
Boris Johnson, the Mayor of London, said he would be taking up the issue with the police as to why the decision was taken not to ensure that Dhar’s passport was removed. Konikha, who lived in London, later told the Press Association: “I examined the features – one eye is smaller than the other, my brother has symmetrical eyes. I’m not convinced it is him”, said his sister Konika Dhar.
“I heard the voice, yes, but I don’t know, I’m not sure of the voice”.
“Even if the correct procedures were followed, I have evidence that they were far too weak”, Andy Burnham, the home affairs spokesman for the opposition Labour Party, said in parliament.
“This is a message to David Cameron, O slave of the White House, O mule of the Jews”, the man said in the 10-minute video, which was released on Sunday.
“Judging by the voice it sounds very much like him”, Mr Ali told Good Morning Britain.
“If I was born in a stable, you know, I’m not going to be a horse”.
Security services and police are attempting to discover the identity of the people behind a new Islamic State (IS) video believed to have British links.
There’s been no official confirmation yet, but various sources have told both CBS News and the British media that a masked man in the latest ISIS propaganda video is suspected to be Siddartha Dhar.
