That ship date will likely continue to slip as more people preorder their headsets.

Oculus Rift creator Palmer Luckey has apologised for his previous misjudging of the virtual reality headset’s cost, saying he “handled the messaging poorly”. In fact, only 20 countries will have the Oculus shipped to them at launch.

Since the headset requires a powerful PC, those who need an upgraded computer can pre-order an “Oculus Ready PC” and Rift for $1,499, as of next month.

The company, which was bought by Facebook in 2014 for $2 billion, says the headsets will come with two video games, “Lucky’s Tale” by Playful and CCP’s “EVE: Valkyrie”. There is a strong belief that Oculus Rift is going to change gaming and home entertainment forever. In the second half of 2016, Oculus will add Oculus Touch motion controllers for more advanced games featuring motion, The Verge reports.
