‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ shocker: Kim Richards asked back

The journey to sobriety hasn’t been an easy one for Kim Richards.

“Without her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills salary, she’s going to have to figure something out”.

Post the incident, Richards got admitted into rehab and has been sober for more than a month now. The actress opened up about her sobriety struggles and recent arrest in an interview with “Entertainment Tonight” Wednesday (July 22).

In fact, just this weekend, Armstrong started filming with one of her co-stars on the show, Lisa Vanderpump to celebrate her friend’s husband’s birthday party.

Richards said family stress contributed to her relapse. She added that, on top of Brinson’s illness, her son Chad Davis also fell ill.

In her New Weekly column, Glanville denies that Richards was fired from their hit Bravo show after allegedly walking out of a Malibu facility where she was said to have been receiving treatment for alcohol abuse issues.

She added, “I have to say, don’t take this wrong, but I really wanted to go to treatment because I needed a break from what I was going through at home”. During her first interview since leaving rehab, Richards explained that she was overwhelmed with life. The reality star said after being taken into police custody she realized she now had the chance to escape briefly.

“My arrest was my ‘a-ha I get to go away now and rest and take a break from all this”, she said. On April 16, the former child actress was arrested at the Beverly Hills Hotel on charges of public intoxication, battery, and resisting arrest.

“She came to Brooke’s wedding”, Kim told ET.

“Here’s the thing: I asked them if I could use the bathroom”.

Since Armstrong had discussed the possibility of returning to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills just months before, the report seemed plausible. “The RHOBH producers really have no interest in bringing her back to the show”, a source told Us at the time. “I decided to stay in treatment”, maintains Kim, who fled in the middle of the night a few days after the high-profile wedding. “Kim needs to get help and it needs to happen outside of the show”. Sources claim that she may have been offered a part in a new reality series under Bravo.
